Talkie Tooter 3BC VHF TransmitterGeneral DescriptionSolid state electronics and rechargeable nicad batteries housed in aluminum extrusion covered by rubber boot. Magnetic hand switch protected from accidental operation by U-shaped antenna. Mounting Belt mounting does not hamper operator's movements. Quick release buckle can be opened by one hand in emergency. Operation By two switches: (1) Mercury switch controlled by tipping transmitter and (2) magnetic switch controlled by squeezing spring attached under antenna. The transmitter is held open end up and the spring handle squeezed the number of times or length of signal desired. This dual action prevents false whistles. For one-way voice communication, the transmitter is held open end down.

Talkie Tooter 2D VHF ReceiverGeneral DescriptionThe Talkie Tooter 2D receiver is housed in a waterproof rugged metal box. The plug-in circuit boards are internally shock mounted to provide many years of reliable service. All components are mounted on the cover plate to permit easy removal for service and storage. A built-in voltage converter allows the base to be connected to either 12 or 24 volt yarding machines. |
